Welcome to 5 Days of Christmas Reflections!Verse:
He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. (
Luke 2:5-7)
Christmas is the time of year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior and King. Christmas is one of the most meaningful times of year for us as Christians, yet it’s also a busy and hectic time as we bake, shop, wrap, decorate, and more.
During these 5 days, will you take 5 minutes a day to pause and reflect on the real meaning of the holiday season with me?
Prayer:
Lord, help me set aside time to focus on what matters most this holiday season, which is the birth of Jesus my Savior. Help me not lose sight of you in the midst of holiday activities. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. For Discussion:
1. Is your holiday season quiet and reflective or busy and hectic? How so?
2. Consider ways you can spend an extra moment today remembering the true meaning of the season. Share your ideas in the comments below.
