Reflect and Respond: How does being quick to listen and slow to speak change your outlook? How might these qualities change more than just your response to anger?
Prayer: Father, help me remember the importance of my words. Please work in my heart so that I can be quick to listen and slow to speak, and my words would always honor You. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord Jesus, help me to be slow to speak and slow to becoming angry, as I run the risk of acting foolishly. But help me instead to take the time to get understanding and to seek Your help in all situations.
I have problems in this area of my life. I’m ver thankful for this teaching today. The Lord has promised to help me as I come to Him for forgiveness and for help in time to come how to apply this teaching.
