Bible Verse: 1 Timothy 6:17-19
“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.”

Reflect and Respond: Make a mental or actual list of what God has given you. How are you investing these things? How will you invest them in the future?

Prayer: Father, thank you for all You've so graciously given to me (tell Him the specific gifts you're thankful for). Today I ask that You would open my eyes to these great gifts and show me how to invest them for the sake of Christ and His Kingdom. Amen.

Lord Jesus, You were always reaching out to assist the less fortunate among us. Let me learn to pattern myself from Your example, where You gave Your all in service to mankind. As You give to me, so let me share some of it with others, Amen.

Yes, all of todays message, scriptures, and comments were very helpful. I did think about the many gifts and opportunities God has given to me down through my life and how thankful I am.

We know the will of God when it came to wealth and money, We know what Jesus said about the eye of a camel when it came to wealth and money, but most of all we know that Peter went and spent the rest of his life in a cave before the church views toward wealth and money. Yet this last part is normally not even talked about within end the church and end return so many churches has been corrupt because of this very thing wealth and money. I not against giving to the church as long as what we give doesn’t corrupt the hearts and minds of the church by moving them away from God and more toward personal greed.

Thank You Lord Jesus for all that You have given me. Family, friends, pets, belongings, food, water, my car and all things I need to succeed. I am grateful and thankful for all that You have not only given me, but others as well. Lord, please bless and watch over those who are less fortunate then us here in America. Here, we often take for granted what we have and want more. Forgive me of any sin that I have and continue to bless those who have very little. Amen."
