Bible Verses: 1 Timothy 6:6-8

“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content."

Reflect and Respond:

On a scale of 1 through 10 with 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, how is your contentment level today? What might you do to improve it?

Dear Father, You are the giver of all things I need from the physical realm to the mental, emotional and spiritual realm, You are my provider. And You provide for me as a father provides for His child. Therefore, let me see all You've given as ultimate gifts and help me know true contentment. Amen.

I have the godliness I have contentment is great gain.
I found this video helpful as there is so much I want to get cleaned in our house, I can only get so much done in a day. Without the help of Jesus, I cannot do anything. I just need to be content with whatever I can get done one day at a time.
In truth, I need to find contentment in the Lord. Sometimes I find it is hard to believe thar God loves me because I am not doing the best effort, acording to the Bible. I just want to love Him and obey Him in everithing.
I have found that the best thing I can do to raise my contentment level is remember (read and reread) what God has said. To remember ALL the blessings He has poured out-how He has chosen me, redeemed me, how He loves me and how powerfully He demonstrated His love through Jesus.❤️
Wow, that’s so great. The long list of to-do items can really take our focus off the Lord. I’m so glad you were able to “be still” and focus of the Lord’s Word today. You go, Natasha!
That’s so exciting, Christian! But SO STRESSFUL! Definitely a time when the Ya Gottas can seem overwhelming. God is going before you and behind you, brother! Take many deep breaths!
Thank you for the great reminder!
Thank you for the message. What a coincidence! Today, I have a long list of things to do that I don't know where to start. After listening to the message and reading the scripture, I understand things can wait and I have to concentrate more on my spiritual life and take a deep breathe.
Such a great message today Leisa. It's so hard in today's American culture to be content with anything. Thanks
We're looking at buying a new house and getting our current house ready to sell. I've been dealing with what seems like an endless list of "ya gottas" in my mind. Thank you Leisa for this reminder! I have enough food and clothing, I will be content.
