Unconditional - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: Colossians 3:12-15

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”

Reflect and Respond:

"Make allowance for each other's faults" tells us that we are all flawed human beings - even within the family of God. Do you have room in your heart to make allowance for another's faults? How does God's forgiveness empower you to forgive another?

Dear Lord, let the peace of Christ rule in my heart. Clothe me in Your love and help me bind together rather than tear apart. To You I give the glory. Amen.

Will I lose my salvation if I commit suicide?

Hey Dusty. First, let me say that if you are struggling right now, seek help. It's okay to reach out and get the counsel you need. Call 800-273-8255 if you are feeling suicidal.

Second, to answer your question, no. The only unforgivable sin is to reject the offer of salvation through Christ. No sin can separate a Christian from their heavenly Father. What is going on in your life that brings up the question? Feel free to reach out to me directly at natc@backtothebible.org.

God bless!

Lord, I know that if I regard iniquity in my heart, You will not hear my prayer. So teach me to be forgiving, kind-hearted and considerate of others as You were to me. I ask for this help in Jesus' name. Amen.

Colossians 3:12-15
Character of the New Man
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

the Bible we see that there is great power in patience and self-control. "Perhaps" the greatest example is found in Jesus! Pastor Nat "Perhaps" no I'm sorry Jesus is The only True first example.

I have found which I believe I stated prior that when we get angry we allow other's to control our emotions. This is something we all do or did. Some time ago I prayed and realized this that I will not allow anyone to control my emotions, well of course Jesus through prayer. When someone upsets me I simply look up, I then deal with that issues speaking truth with kindness to let that person know they upset me.
If by chance it is really upsetting I still look up turn walk away and pray.

I then will go back to that person and speak to them to let them know why I was upset more so because I allowed them to upset me, rather than what they did or said. Yet I still get it out trying to be humble letting them know it is not acceptable I do not ask for an apology. Only to say this should not have been said or done and why followed with I forgive you. This plays right into forgiveness, for if we do not forgive it only hurts us not the other or other's.

Just as Jesus I try not to be thunder and lightening but a ray of sunshine or soft gentle breeze. Please always get it out don't hold it in for it only causes series issues for us. Our goal is to be more like Jesus less like us the best way as Pastor Nat said yesterday is to pray daily throughout read our Bible daily and study God's Word and Truth. Remember no one has to apologize to be forgiven.

Thank You Lord for being The True example of how we are to live this Beautiful life You gave us through You Jesus Thank You Father for The Love Story of You in Jesus name Amen
