Bible Verse: Colossians 3:12-15
“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”

Reflect and Respond: "Make allowance for each other's faults" tells us that we are all flawed human beings - even within the family of God. Do you have room in your heart to make allowance for another's faults? How does God's forgiveness empower you to forgive another?

Prayer: Dear Lord, let the peace of Christ rule in my heart. Clothe me in Your love and help me bind together rather than tear apart. To You I give the glory. Amen.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your lesson on forgiveness. Help me to remember that I was forgiven by You, and likewise I should forgive those who do me wrong. Lord, develop in me the gentleness and the patience I need in making allowances for others, so that I reflect Your love and Your will.

In my life, I deal with people who lead me astray more than lead me toward the right path. Please pray that this will change in my life.
