The Starting Point - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Ephesians 2:4-5

"But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)"

Reflect and Respond:

How has God's mercy touched your life?

Father, as I take in Your word I ask that you would bring it to my mind today, and help me understand and apply it along the way. Amen.

There have been times that I've had trouble with this. God, please help me with this!
"But God" two of the best words in the Bible. I love movies and there are two pivotal points in any good movie for me. One is the frustrating point when someone does something foolish or evil to cause problems for themselves or someone else. My wife makes fun of me, because it is at this point that I make a clicking sound like my dad used to. The other point is the transition or climax when victory seems least likely and then something changes. This is what "But God" signifies to me. Thanks Cameron!

God's mercy has touched my life in so many ways, words cannot express! But He gave me the greatest gift through Jesus Christ my Saviour, salvation! Father, thank You for Your love, mercy and grace which are new every morning and never come to an end. Help me not to take them for granted, but to grow and use them for Your glory and blessing others.
