Bible Verse: Ephesians 4:29
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary [a]edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. ”

Reflect and Respond: Knowing that your words matter, how will you use them today? How can you build others up?

Prayer: Father, please bring to mind life-giving words that I can share with others today. Help me see ways to bless rather than curse, and build up rather than tear down. I ask this for the sake of Your kingdom. Amen.

Lord Jesus, I want to serve You in righteous ways and in accordance with Your commands. Teach me to do so without becoming judgmental and without being critical of others of whom I am in no position to criticize. Let my every word be sweetened with love and be spoken as Jesus would. Amen.

Wow, this sounds like me! I can be very critical. "Lord Jesus, please lovingly humble me. Let me not be so critical of others. Please forgive me of this sin, for the temptation is there daily. Defeat the enemy in my life who wants my ruin and the ruin of those around me. You, Lord Jesus are Greater then the enemy. Amen."
