Temptation: Dealing With Your Thoughts - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

<br>

Bible Verse: Romans 8:5-6

“Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace."

Reflect and Respond:

2 Corinthians 10:5 is another verse that gives us a good game plan for temptation and controlling your thoughts: We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. Trust God today to help you in this battle!

Prayer:

Father, may Your thoughts become my thoughts today. I surrender myself to the leading of Your Holy Spirit to control my mind and live according to Your Word. Amen.

I like the way you explained "the gap" between being tempted and our response. Thanks Arnie and thank You Lord Jesus.
Thank you
God's thoughts should become my thoughts. Surrendering my all to Jesus
I don't think your researcher came up with the slogan "Take every thought captive." It's found in the BIBLE - II Corinthians 10:5.
Choose life over darkness it will change your life.
" We have the mind of Christ..." The old man , old self and sinful fallen nature has been defeated with the righteousness of Jesus and we given new life in Christ !! Amen
Good word for me especially in this season ...my sin is to doubt God will stay with me as I pass through areas of job and life related challenges. The sin of not believing God is always in control but rather he's turned away from me in the things I find myself struggling with. Feeling that I'm stuck and won't progress forward. Praise God you are stronger than the enemy who comes to rob , destroy and kill . Thank you Lord for not only hearing and seeing me but are restoring me to your purpose. Amen !!!!!
I have decides to surrender my life to Him. This is something that I need to give every day to the Lord.
Please open the doors to your hearts
Sweet surrender! There's nothing like it. God aptly tells us that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours. Amen? Open the door to your heart and let Him in! Pastor Bob
Amen🙏! Lord, I surrender all to You again today, and ask You to take full control of my thoughts and actions to obey and trust You. Lead me in the path of righteousness!
