Taste The Difference - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

https://youtu.be/lf_a5reEWDA Bible Verse: Hebrews 5:13-14 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. REFLECT and RESPOND: Yes, you need spiritual food daily! So, here are some extra verses to munch on: Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105, James 1:22. PRAYER: Father, thank you for this reminder of the power of your Word. Help me to faithfully take in your spiritual food so that you can grow me in knowledge, wisdom, and strength. Amen. The more I'm in the Word, the more True this devotional becomes.. :Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path."..Ps.119:105
Thanks for the reminder to keep God's word front and center.
This is a fabulous reminder for everyone, regardless of our current relationship with God. Getting in the word and truly believing in its truths, helps guide us through this world. It’s the playbook for the big game. Thank you for this reminder Arnie.
Thank you so much for this encouragement for me to get into the word of God everyday and to abide in Christ along the way. Also thank you for the encouragement that when we spend time in the word of God change does happen. Praise the Lord!
vv. 13-14 has remaining issues about, young Christians as babes require milk. This is very delegate, to have this young Christians to have them start reading the bible to start their spiritual journey, by having an older Christians to get them started with reading the bible.
Thank you for the timely message which I really needed at this point in my life...Just made my day! Praise God!

Great thoughts Frank. I’m glad you’re here for that daily spiritual lift!

Lord hear my cries and Holy Spirit guides to where I am suppose to go
Kristina- I understand and hear you! I’m just an average person. I’m not a preacher or a saint - I too have struggled with immense fear and trust in God over the past 25 years of walking with Him. I’m a born again believer but there are times when I feel very wobbly-kneed in my faith and sometimes feel like things are just overwhelming. I’m saying all this (hopefully) to encourage you. Knowing truth and applying it are two very different things. I perceive this is why we need to let go of our overwhelming desire as adults to figure it all out, and let go and come to Jesus like a little child- I’m happy to share more, but for now be encouraged- you are not alone! You are loved by the God who sees you, who has never left you or forsaken you, and calls you His Own!
I'm having a very difficult time getting back to God. Some how I drifted off the path and I can't seem to get back. I'm in so much fear. Lord please rescue me
Lord, please help me to grow closer to you! Keep me from being comfortable with my spiritual growth. I have seen the comfortable ness with my ex, he was growing & now all of a sudden is back to old habits & ways of thinking. Lord if it is your will end the wrong relationship & wedding he is planning. Restore him to you, then to me & our kids.
Hey I am starting to think you are picking on me...lol. I got off to a good start in my Christian life but I think I got to a point where I was comfortable and just never went further. Like P.T Barnum said "comfortable is the enemy of progress ". We have to move on past our comfort zones and allow God to work in us. It is our struggles that make us grow. Spiritual success is an uphill battle and we have to keep moving forward. If we allow ourselves to stop, we allow things to push us back and keep us from our goals.
If we want to have a relationship with God, we must spend time in His Word and meditate on it daily. This is how we grow our faith and trust in Him and hear His voice. By the help of the Holy Spirt we are transformed more and more into His likeness by thr renewing of our minds. Lord, help us in this community to be intentional in studying Your Word daily. Give us a receptive heart and mind to be obedient to Your instructions, Amen!
Reminders are a huge help with keeping up with daily reading. I end my days praying and to that I always add "God, please help me remember that you should be my priority tomorrow also. Amen"
It is always setting time to read God's word, for our daily life.
Eating, bathing, spiritual reading...all things that need to be done consistently, otherwise, we see and feel (and sometimes smell) the effects. We should view our spiritual diet the same as our other diets. The benefit will be tangible.
Learning early that it's not about religion, but rather, about a relationship with Christ is important. Thanks for the reminder to maintain that relationship!
I'm glad you're here today Justin! I'll keep you in my prayers.
I know daily is important. Important for the Bible, prayer, even going to the gym. Truth is I have to work pretty hard to stay on track. I pray that God will help me and all the others that have this challenge stay on a daily Biblical track - Amen!
This is a great reminder that the Bible has the answers to so many of our questions, even today. We just need to read it to find those answers.
With so many messages coming at from all directions all the time, I need God's Word to ground me and to keep me focused on what is true.
Thank you for the reminder to feed myself. It's so easy with today's technology to let others feed me with what they think is important. But I need to take ownership of choosing what I feed myself.
Thank you for offering additional Scripture - that really helps to reflect on the subject. I ended up reading through whole Psalm 119, and added verses 33-36 to my spiritual lift prayer: 33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end.[f] 34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. 35 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. 36 Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Amen!
I like the analogy of feeding yourself with God's word every day spiritually that you dont starve
I totally agree Arnie. I can look back and see the worst times spiritually in my life line up really closely with the times that I was far from God's Word. Thank you so much for that reminder.
