Bible Verse: Psalm 46:1-2, 10

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea....'Be still, and know that I am God!'”

Reflect and Respond:

Today, take in all of Psalm 46. What do you learn? Will the song, "Stand By Me" have a slightly different meaning for you going forward?

Prayer:

Father, You are the God who stands by me, through times of trouble and the chaos of our world. Yet, You tell me to be still and know that You are God. Help me to rest in Your name, Your power, and Your promises. Let my life be a life that displays Your peace. Amen.

What a comforting thought to know that even though the mountains should crumble into the sea, You encourage us to trust in You; to depend upon Your protection; to look to You as our Saviour who will not leave us defenseless in the time of trouble. Lord Jesus thank You for being faithful.
