Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:18
“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

Colossians 3:1-2
“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.”

Reflect and Respond: How will you focus on Jesus today?

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, let Your word open my eyes so I can set my sights on the most important things — Your presence and the realities of heaven. May I walk in Your confidence today. Amen.

Lord Jesus, Your word tells me that all of this world's goods would one day turn into dust, but however, Your Word and the things that are hidden from view are the things which I should seek after. Lord, help me to keep my gaze fixed upon You. Amen.

Right on that is why Jesus tells us to live in the "moment" not the past or future, for the next minute is never promised.
