Bible Verse: James 1:19-20

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.”

Reflect and Respond:

Quick to listen. Slow to speak. Slow to get angry. How can you remember and implement these godly words today?

Prayer:

Father, as anger swirls around me in this world, I ask that You would help me be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry that I might represent You righteously and build relationships rather than tear them down. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father. Please forgive me for being so slow to come to Your truth in understanding these verses. Help me to be willing to apply this teaching on forgiveness every single time and trust you. I Jesus name.

Your words spoken through the Apostle James were spoken for my edification. Teach me Lord Jesus to be slow to speak but quick to listen and very slow to get angry. Amen.

Yes we all need to be as James says be slow to anger and quick to listen and especially slow to speak. Since when we listen, Holy Spirit will lead us in what to say or maybe not say anything at all, but just listen. Then at the right timing God always knows, we are then led to say the right things. Obedience is always the key to follow and learn. Excellent teaching! Thank you for that video!
