Serve, Pass, Set, Kill! - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: James 1:19-20

“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.”

Reflect and Respond:

Quick to listen. Slow to speak. Slow to get angry. How can you remember and implement these godly words today?

Father, as anger swirls around me in this world, I ask that You would help me be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry that I might represent You righteously and build relationships rather than tear them down. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I still get angry. Some days like yesterday I really struggled. Thanks for the reminder.

Your Word is clear: when i get angry, I cannot serve You righteously. So, help me Lord to be quick to hear but slow to speak especially when I think I have a point to make.
