Running the Spiritual Race - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: Hebrews 12:1-2

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Reflect and Respond:

What burdens are weighing you down today? What's slowing your race?

Heavenly Father, I come to You to surrender all. Set me free for any hidden sins in my life and take all my burdens. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to be with me to help me in my weakness and to empower me to run the race with endurance. I also thank You for forgiving my sins when I repent and confess them. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

As I run in this race of life, I stumble because of my tendency to take my eyes off You. Help me Lord Jesus to look unto You as the Author and Perfecter of my faith in order to finish this race strong.

Amen Pastor Hugo glad to see and hear you again. This race is to remember with our eyes fixed and locked on Jesus. Often we forgot we are a "Spirit" with an out case of a body but a living Spirit Living inside The Only Perfect, Sinless Spirit of Jesus Christ. Thank You Pastor Hugo for Praying with us as well as uplifting us in The Truth of Jesus Christ. And all God's Children said Amen Amen Amen.
