Prayer: God my Father, I want to honor You and Your kingdom by choosing joy, so please teach me your ways. Help me to consider the trouble I run into today to be an opportunity for joy. Help me make that choice and follow through. Amen.

Lord Jesus, there are lessons for me to learn in every situation in life, whether in joyful times or in bad times. Help me to consider it a joy when I am faced with troubles, so that I may learn from my mistakes and grow in wisdom from each experience.
When I look back I can remember a lot more than once when I’ve experienced a trouble and take a closer look I’ve experienced a joy and thankfulness to God for the learning experience and learn how to grow spiritually from that experience. So yes, there have been times I’ve experienced spiritual joy from a trouble and also help and a blessing from God.
