Roots - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verses: Colossians 2:6-7

“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

Reflect and Respond:

Read, reflect, respond. Now that you've read today's verse, reflect on it a bit. What does it mean for you today? How will you respond to that?

Father, thank You for Your good word. I pray for my spiritual roots to be grounded in You. May they grow strong, and may my life be proof of Your truth that flows out to everyone I meet. Amen.

I really appreciate the seed metaphor in respect of growing stronger in faith. It is a fact: faith can grow in a sustainable environment.
