Maybe your day is quiet -- too quiet. Can you use this time to focus in on prayer and God's Word? Or maybe your day is hectic. How might you carve out even a few minutes of down time to meet with your Savior?
Prayer:
Father, help me to use the time You've given me today to focus and pray just like my Savior did. Please clear my thoughts and tune my heart to connect with You. Amen.

With devotionals on my phone, it's easy to jump to my games or social media. I try to do my time with God in a different room so at least other distractions are minimal.
Sometime I really wonder if God hears me how can I know when He is speaking to me I really need to know. I pray God show me this answer.

Wow. What a great question. How do you know that God hears you? Well, the simple answer is God hears it all because He knows it all. God is omniscient and omnipresent. Nothing escapes His ears or His eyes. But a better answer is God not only hears us, as His spiritual children, but His ears are also inclined towards us. Consider these passages:
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” ~John 1:12
"Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” ~ Hebrews 4:14-16
But then why does it feel like God doesn't hear? Well, here are some reasons Scripture points out:
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” ~ James 4:6
"Then they will cry to the LORD, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from them at that time, because they have made their deeds evil.” ~ Micah 3:4
"These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” ~ Isaiah 66:2
So it could be pride getting in the way. It could be unconfessed sin. It could be wrong motives. I'd ask you to search your heart and see if any of these could be the issue.
Regarding hearing God's voice. God has chosen to speak through His Word -- the Bible. That is the primary source of His voice. God does provide illumination, discernment, and peace through the Spirit living in us. God also provides insight and guidance through godly counsel.
So I encourage you to do what you're doing: reaching out to us. Then turn to God's Word for His voice. He is there. He cares. He is there for you.

I want to feel Jesus close to me. And the only way I can do that is through reaching up to him. When it is quiet my thoughts wander. Help me not to listen to the voices that try to discourage me, help me I want to listen to you God.
