Bible Verse: Matthew 4:10-11
“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.
Reflect and Respond: When have you been tempted to "show off"? Why was it so tempting? How did Jesus handle this tempation?
Prayer: Father, I am not immune to self-pride. But, I know that You stand by, ready to help me resist just as Jesus did. Help me remember Your word so that my first response is to worship and serve you only. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

I have to constantly check myself- is it myself I’m trying to elevate, ? Or is it Jesus. Sometimes I feel it’s both- please forgive, and convict me, when it’s me, knowing on my own , apart from you, I’m nothing.
Lord Jesus, I am often tempted to show off when I think it is okay. But I thank You for reminding me today of the folly of self-pride. Help me to remember Your rebuke of satan when his self-pride was on display. Let me ever ensure that it is You who gets the glory at all times. Amen.

Heavenly Father Please grant us us The Courage and Wisdom to clean all from our heart and mind that is not of You. Help us to always say Yes to You and no to the things of this world in Jesus name Amen
Help me Lord remove from me pride in all its form
