No More Pointing Fingers - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verse: Romans 3:23-26

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. ... God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.”

Reflect and Respond:

Is there a pointing finger in your life? Who is pointing?

Father, please free me from any shame that imprisons me. Help me live fully to serve You, knowing that by grace through faith, I have been forgiven and freed from guilt and shame. Amen.

It is so easy to cast blame on the other person. Lord make me responsible to accept that I make mistakes and therefore need forgiveness.
Thank you.
Thank you
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. For me I always try to remember what Jesus said, "Let he who has not sinned" cast the first stone. This helps me take a breath and say Lord please take this out of my hands and into Yours. Thank Jesus for Your Faithfulness.
In today life we all need to judge not one another before we judge ourself.

Amen Andre!!!!! Peace be with you.😇
I would pray for that person, let God work in their lives to have them to see how this is not will pleasing to God.
I think as babes in Christ, newly called, the tendency is to be on fire and so excited, you want to preach to family and friends because you want the best for them to. Sometimes it alienates some from us. But God knows what He is doing and as long as we stay on fire and not let anyone discourage us, it’s ok. Their time will come and they will remember what we tried to tell them. God will bring things they’ve heard in remembrance. Amen
What past? Amen!
If we are truly reborn then a truly reborn person will not have that “tendency “.
Is there a pointing finger in your life? Who is pointing? Yes, I often point with my finguers to any situation or person who attempt againts my economic plans, my dreams, it means my wealthfare. Right now I try to focus my attention in Jesus and his purpose for my life through those circumstancies.
I didn't have to point fingers I just had my mallet like a judge and this tells me I want to have a good time even though people may have been wrong or should I ask God to take care of it and these instances seem to happen in your own family and some people who think they have perfect families perfect marriages perfect relationships those are the pointers too we don't do this we don't do that I'm better than that we've never had that that's what this passage reminds me that if we own a deck to whoever it is we must pay it there's a pastor that's very well known I'll call him Mr m He said he held a garage for almost 40 years and that person came to his church and that day the Lord put it on his heart to preach about that and then he said if anyone has any grudges or any finger pointing stand up well all these people stood up and we all and they all asked for forgiveness what his person looked right in the face of the pastor and said I forgive you and everybody was shocked because he's a well-known pastor with a loving heart but this situation changed him and everybody
I think it is fair to say that when one is reborn again, there is a tendency to look at other's and judge them because they are not living the way "you" think they should. But God has a way to correct your thinking and instead, we should love and walk beside them and that way we help each other in our path to Christ!
Father, You are my rock, shelter, and salvation. Thank you, Lord, for guiding my steps and lighting my path. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
