Bible Verses: Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Reflect and Respond:

Managing your thought life determines your choices and the outcome of them. And no one is saying that's easy! But you can resist the darkness by engaging the light - the light of God's Word. Make sure to read today's featured verses - and the verses linked below - to focus on and encourage your thoughts today: Philippians 4:8, John 1:4-5.

Prayer:

Father, the Bible says that Your light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it. I believe this, and I look to the light of Your Word for my thoughts today. Please help me trust Your words, rest in their truth, and stand firmly in Your grace. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Thank God for shining His light in the darkness! I believe the scripture link in Reflect and Respond should be 1 John 1:4-5, the epistle and not the Gospel of John.

Yes, very helpful.
This really helped me today. Thank you. I had read Isaiah 41:10 before but this morning it really came alive for me. My husband of almost 42 years died a year ago and I've struggled with feelings of loneliness; but I've been seeking the Lord and He has been saying to me, "I your Maker am your Husband." Isaiah 54:5. Thank you.
I really like your devotionals. They really help me.
