Bible Verse: 2 Peter 1:5-7
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.”
Reflect and Respond: How do you consider the following to be building blocks for life? Moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, patient endurance, godliness, brotherly affection, and love.
Prayer: Father, I know self-control is so important. I also know it's not something I can achieve on my own. So, as I go through the day, please bring to mind Your presence and help me to control my thoughts, what I say, and what I do to honor You and those around me. I ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
