Hope in Your Heart - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Psalm 42:5

“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God."

Reflect and Respond:

Even in his discouragement, the writer of Psalm 42 was able to hope in God to the point of praising Him. What is hope? It is the confident expectation a believer has in the promises of God. How are you hoping in God today?

Heavenly Father, I know I can place my hope in You, even when I feel discouraged. Today I look to You, remembering Your goodness and love given to me through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Let Your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. Amen.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. That is a powerful verse Ps.42:5 Just what I needed today.
Please Lord, help me to be reminded that when I face my daily struggles that I am not facing them alone. Remind me that I am not expected to face them alone either because You walk in the midst of my problems with me. Thank You Lord.
All of your spiritual life encouragement speakers do a wonderful job and Laura especially is exceptional in her presentation.
Good for you, keep up with your efforts and and don't give in. I will be praying that Jesus will help you.
Yes, it did help. By describing what is means to hope
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— He will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." Psalm 121
I find it very appropriate for this time of my life. I'm recovering from a drug addiction. And placing hope in God is going to help me on my road to recovery
Amen 🙏
Thank you for the reminder that God is greater than any situation we encounter.
Thank you, Father. Amen.
Yes, very comforting and I felt God speak to me about keeping my eyes on Him in my daily walk.
