“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us."
Reflect and Respond: Who can you show "real love" to today?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for demonstrating real love to me. I pray today that You would open my eyes to inquiring about other people's spiritual well being. Help me to show them real love in even the simplest ways. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me when I least deserved to be loved and for persisting with that love until You won over my heart. And so I thank You Jesus that as You love me, by Your grace, help me to love my neighbour as myself. Amen.
