God Remembers What We Forget - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verse: John 10:27-28

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

Reflect and Respond:

Is there anything that can keep you or another believer from the love of Christ? Here's what the Bible says: "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

Father, I pray for my loved one(s) with dementia, that you would fill their loss with your presence. Please fill us with peace and the knowledge of Your everlasting presence in our lives as well. I thank you for your faithfulness, and look forward to the time when we will be united with you face-to-face, able to worship you with our minds and bodies fully restored! I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Speak to me Lord Jesus for I am listening; I want to hear from You for only You have the precious Word of life for which I seek daily.
Thank you for the message today. My husband is in a memory facility which I have not been able to visit him since a year ago shortly after Thanksgiving. The last time I talked with him over the phone was on Valentine's Day. I know shortly after he retired in March of 2019 he had fears and wonder what he needed to do to go to heaven. Definitely he needs prayer like others going through the disease.
Nobodu can pluck them out of my father's hand.
I hear Jesus, he know me, and follow him.
Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.
How precious and valuable it is to know that we are in the hands of the Lord and nothing and no one can snatch us from His hands and from His care. Glory to God!
This was a great reminder and a message of hope! Thank you, Paula!

Karla, today I pray that you will be comforted greatly, especially now during the holidays.
Thank you for sharing this. My Mom, who is now residing in Heaven, had dementia, and I notice it with my dad now also. It was a struggle at times, to be with Mom as she went downward into a world I couldn't go to. But, never did I lose faith that God would take her to His heavenly home, and she would again be all that He intended her to be. It is His promise that He is always with me, that gives me strength, and I know that He is also, always with my Dad, who at 92, has given me the parental guidance and love I have always needed, and beyond. Thank you for reminding me of God's presence, not only with Dad, but with me, with all of us, who love Him. Thank you.
