Get Your Head Back in the Game - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: Psalm 37:8-9

“Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.”

Reflect and Respond:

How will you prepare to "keep your head in the game" today, and not let disappointment or anger control you?

Father, I don't have to worry, or be angry, or discouraged when I have Your salvation for my past, my present, and my future. So today I acknowledge that You are in full control of my situation and I can place my angry feelings in Your hands rather than throw them at others. Help me to live this out today. Amen.

My anger has only led me down the wrong path and brought me shame. But this was before You found me and turned me around, brought me into relationship with You, and offered me Your gift of salvation. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your lovingkindness.

Thank you Karmin for that reminder. I experienced that the past few days. And I am learning to cease from anger and let go of wrathful behavior. Although it's soo hard to wait on the Lord in these situations. I know his time is the right time to do the right things. I sure needed those scriptures to refer back to. Thank you.
