Bible Verse: Matthew 18:21-22

“Then Peter came to him and asked, 'Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?' 'No, not seven times,' Jesus replied, 'but seventy times seven!'"

Reflect and Respond:

You may have to forgive the same person or persons multiple times, even for the same sin. It is a process. And it is accomplished only through Jesus. Ask Him to help you forgive today, and tomorrow, and the next day ...

Prayer:

Father, forgiveness is part of Your language, Your being, Your love. Help me consider how much You have forgiven me, and enabled me to love and forgive as many times as needed. I ask this in Your name. Amen.

Forgiveness is essential to our walk. We are not perfect and neither are others. We have to forgive for our peace of mind and to live in grace.

Thank you Lord for forgiving me and for helping me to understand about forgiving others. I needed to hear this lesson so much today. As I forgive others from all down through the past You are helping me to know and experience your forgiveness in my life.

I really needed to hear this message. I'm having a hard time forgiving my mother. She just hurts me over and over..... I can get into deep depressions over it.... I'm afraid to speak up to her..... I needed to hear this message yesterday, but maybe it's actually better that some time has passed and I'm listening to it now.
