Do I Have to Forgive More Than Once? - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: Matthew 18:21-22
“Then Peter came to him and asked, 'Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?' 'No, not seven times,' Jesus replied, 'but seventy times seven!'"

Reflect and Respond: You may have to forgive the same person or persons multiple times, even for the same sin. It is a process. And it is accomplished only through Jesus. Ask Him to help you forgive today, and tomorrow, and the next day ...

Prayer: Father, forgiveness is part of Your language, Your being, Your love. Help me consider how much You have forgiven me, and enabled me to love and forgive as many times as needed. I ask this in Your name. Amen.

Lord Jesus, how many times You have had to forgive me! Help me to remember that just as I desire to have You forgive me, so should I be ready to forgive those who offend me. Let me not keep count, just as You keep no count of my many transgressions.
