Bible Verse: 1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

Reflect and Respond:

How does confessing your sins affect your relationship with God? With others?

Prayer:

Father, let me rightly discern when You tell me to change direction, and let me follow You. Let me also discern when I am needlessly hanging on to shame. Help me trust in Your forgiveness and restoration. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Yes, it was very helpful. Explaining that guilt means you need to change direction. We can confess our sins and He is faithfull and just to forgive us.

As Your Word tells us Lord, we can be forgiven if we would just confess our sins. We are reminded that You are faithful and just and ready to forgive us so that we may never have to feel guilty of our past. So, thank You Lord Jesus for Your perfect work of reconciliation.

If we forsake our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Such forceful restraint cannot be regarded as righteousness, rather as an indication of unrighteousness. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created till unrighteousness was found in thee.

We all pay visits to The Hall of Shame it is when we look up cry out confess that all sin will be forgiven. Thank You Jesus in Your Most Powerful Name Amen

Good advice. To often I wallow in regret for the bad decisions I have made. Beating myself up and visiting the hall of shame.
