Defenseless - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Proverbs 25:28

“A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls."

Reflect and Respond:

According to today's verse, how does anger leave you defenseless? What verse might you keep in mind today to nourish your self-control?

Father, today I ask for Your wisdom to help me be self-controlled in all things, especially when it comes to anger. Help me see past any quick reactions and stay calm knowing that this is Your will for my life. Amen.

I appreciate your honesty. I can’t stand masks. I definitely have been where you’re at. Here’s what I’ve found - and you may already be doing this - just like I can’t stand masks, God can’t either. He wants raw and real and honest hearts before Him. My healing did not come until I told Him exactly how I felt. He is not intimidated by our questions, doubts, fears, or even our anger. He already knows it anyway. Be as real with Him as you were in your words here. Also, know that even if all you can utter is “Help,” it’s enough, especially since the Holy Spirit intercedes for you. Sometimes, it was all I could get out. I got it out a lot to be sure, but I was heard. And I was “Helped.”
I know exactly how you feel, I experience those feelings way to often, especially when I neglect Gods word. I know it is satan trying to distance us from God. Keep praising God and praying.
i liked your video, but where i am at right now is not anger, but i feel that the "HOLY SPIRIT" is far from me... and i also feel i have lost my way from "JESUS". p.s. and nobody really cares anymore. and "JESUS" says that no one can come to him unless the "HOLY SPIRIT" draws you to him....... p.s.s. "AND I KNOW THE WORD OF GOD"
This a good reminder when I feel like I am alone.
Great reminder!

Thank you these words of wisdom that are so instructive in our walk with God. Lord today I pray: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord my Strength and my Redeemer".
