Bible Verses: Proverbs 25:28

“A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls."

Reflect and Respond:

According to today's verse, how does anger leave you defenseless? What verse might you keep in mind today to nourish your self-control?

Prayer:

Father, today I ask for Your wisdom to help me be self-controlled in all things, especially when it comes to anger. Help me see past any quick reactions and stay calm knowing that this is Your will for my life. Amen.

Lord I ask for my spirit to be always calm. Not to be perturbed and upset. But to be calm and strong and trusting always. In Jesus's name. Amen.
Love it!!
Ask God for wisdom in the moment...ask for His view of issue, relationship, concerns, emotions, needs...in general.
Just like you Mark, I too was once like a city with broken down walls, but I thank God for His Son Jesus and for the Holy Spirit who now helps me to remain in God's Word.
Love the bible verse and message. Thanks for sharing!
it's like two trying to get around the discomfort zone of the discussion in a heated way.
I am pretty self controlled but it does do harm to me. I wish I could confront people without them getting upset. Apparently, I am doing it the wrong way. I didn't have any siblings and maybe if I had I would have learned how to confront people.
James 1:19 comes to mind "let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
I love this app!!!
Thank you for presenting your thoughts as they are very true.
