Transformed - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: 1 Timothy 1:12-14
“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.”

Reflect and Respond: Faith, love, and patience toward others is a result of a transformed life. Do you want to be transformed? Ask Jesus to help you grow and become more like Him in your words today.

Prayer: Lord, I want my words, my actions, and my life to reflect You. I trust You today to make and continue that transformation in my life. I thank you for the opportunities to follow You, share the gospel, and praise Your name. Amen.

Jesus said in the Bible , he emptied himself to come for the lost , sinful and those of us that humbled themselves , turning from our old self , and living for, and to glorify Christ.

This is something that I struggle with. Satan makes it so easy for me to see faults in others, I praise and thank Jesus , he now also just as quickly reminds me of times I did the same, and sometimes I still do. I remember hearing in alcoholic anonymous “ you spot it you got it” that might help see the sin, but only by the blood of Jesus, he will change us.

One thing we must also understand that Paul experienced was what he taught in Romans 7.
That was after he was saved.
Some teach that will not happen again once we understand tge flesh and learn how the Holy Spirit works only within the cross.
That is true!
But Paul did not write it for nothing either.
When we fail that is what happens.
We do exactly what we do not want to do,do not do what ee ought to,and the more we fail we cry out loud for help.
Then,Romans 8 explains the glory if being free from law...any law of sin,and the law of freedom in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
That is where I want to be but find myself back in romans 7 at times.
And then grace upon grace Jesus helps me.
Hope this helped.
There is NO condemnation in Christ Jesus.
Read all of Romans.
It is all there.
