Bible Verses: James 2:13

β€œThere will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.”

Reflect and Respond:

If your words were a knife, would they be used wisely, or would they be used to inflict harm?

Lord, let my words be Your words. Let them build up rather than inflict harm. Help me to share the mercy You've given me with others so that Your name is honored and given glory. Amen.

This was a great message for me. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ What is man that You are mindful of him? God in all of his mercy sent his Son for us. To give us life and freedom. If God could do that for me. Why shouldn't I be merciful to others. This is a sore spot for me and something I pray about. Thank you for the reminder. πŸ™πŸΌβ£οΈ
Help me show mercy to others
Guard my mouth lord
A good point to ponder and to think about what you should before take action, always encourage one another.
Good message. Thank you.
Such a good word! Thank you for the reminder Mark!
My words were often used in arguments to cut like a sword. Usually this was in a conflict with my late husband who often would use physical intimidation not abuse but knowing he was more physically powerful I used hurtful cutting words to wound , as he didn't have that ability verbally as I did. Hurtful words have often been my "go to" in defense reactions. As a Christ follower I've learned that I need not to rely on that defense and work towards breaking that habit. I've repented and ask forgiveness for this and continue striving to not use words to hurt or wound anymore. Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy. Amen
Lord, let the words of my mouth be wisely use to bring love, hope and joy to others, and not harm. May my obedience bring You glory and honour.
That was a good message
