Christmas Peace, Everlasting Peace - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verse: Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

Reflect and Respond: What does it mean to turn to Jesus as Lord and Savior? Let's look at what the Bible says: First of all, we have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23). Because of this we deserve to be eternally separated from Him (Romans 6:23). However, God loves us - so much so that He took on human form and died in our place, (John 3:16) taking the punishment that we deserve (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21). God promises forgiveness of sins and eternal life in heaven to all who receive, by grace through faith, Jesus Christ as Savior (John 1:12; 3:16; 5:24; Acts 16:31). Turn to Him as Your Lord and Savior today!

Prayer: God, I come to You today asking for Your forgiveness. I believe that You sent Jesus that first Christmas as Your Son, and my Savior - that He would die a sacrificial death on my behalf. I want to live in this truth and have Jesus as my Savior, and as my Lord knowing that He holds my past, my present, and my future safely in His hands. Help me realize this to be Your greatest gift to me, and to all who will receive it. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
