Choose Joy - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verses: Philippians 4:4-5

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again - rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon."

Reflect and Respond:

Today's verse isn't written as a mere suggestion, but rather an emphatic urging from the apostle Paul. He was in jail, yet he chose to be joyful because what God had promised him was enough to triumph over any problems he faced. How can you live with joy today based on the following promises? 1 John 1:9, James 4:7, James 1:5, John 3:16.

Dearest Lord, thank you for your promises for my life. Help me to focus on them today and live them out joyfully. I choose this in humbleness and in love to honor You. Amen.

It was hard for me when I learned that my husband signed POA papers for his sister. He is in Chicago area at a facility and I live in Indy. His sister lives in Chicago area. While I am not happy with the decision, I can rejoice as I have been able to walk closer with the Lord everyday now.
