Breaking the Chain of Anxiety Through Prayer - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Matthew 6:25, 31-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ... So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

1 Peter 5:7

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Reflect and Respond:

What needs do you have to share with God today? Bring them to Him in prayer. If you have time, write them down and keep a journal of His work in your life!

Exactly what I needed. I must pray. I seem to think that God wants me to solve my problems. Or perhaps I think I am more capable Than God. (Ugh) I will pray first. Then listen. Then do.
Thank you for this reminder, I really needed it! GOD's Word always put things back in to proper perspective! GOD BLESS YOU.
Gone through the ice storm in South Texas. 24 hours without electricity. Live by myself but God was with me continually.
Glory be to God. Truth...Amen, by the grace and help of God.
This is easier said than done. From the time we wake up in the morning, we should ask God to keep us away from needless anxiety and instead concentrate on just Him for the day, for each day has enough trouble of its own. Therefore, let us make a conscious decision to give our worry to the Lord first thing in the morning to set the day ahead of us by praising Him for who He is and what He does. Amen?
I needed this today, Hugo. Blessings ...
Very helpful and a reminder that God cares and knows our needs.
Blessed assurance is what we have. Hallelujah!!
