Bible Verses: Matthew 6:25, 31-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ... So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

1 Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Reflect and Respond: What needs do you have to share with God today? Bring them to Him in prayer. If you have time, write them down and keep a journal of His work in your life!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I bring my needs to You knowing that You love me more than I will ever fully know.

Lord Jesus, Your Word invites us to cast our fears and anxiety upon You, for You care for us. With those encouraging words, help me to trust You with all of my tomorrows as I contemplate my future. Let me find rest and comfort in Thee rather than worry and grow sick from anxiety.

Thank you for the encouragement today. I love those verses. At one time I was fearful and anxious, but I have learned to trust God in all things.

Worry is like a rocking chair you get up a head of steam but you don’t go anywhere and you end up exhausted. I just had surgery on the roof of my mouth to level a lump so I can get dentures. The doctor told me it would feel like it had been burnt and would take some days to get over it. I prayed I would have no pain and PRAISE THE LORD I have had no pain since the surgery. God delights in His children who trust Him and want to do His Will. Was I worried a little but then I prayed and kept praying for God’s favor and I kept putting one foot in front of the other. God expects us to keep marching even if weseem to lose our footing
