Blind in the Trials - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: John 9:1-3

“As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. ‘Rabbi,’ his disciples asked him, ‘why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?’ ’It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,’ Jesus answered. ‘This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. "

Reflect and Respond:

In your trials today, God wants you to know that He sees you and He is with you: "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10. How can we pray for you today?

Father God, I pray that I would be a light to others even as You are a light to me. May I know your presence today and share your peace. Amen.

I pray for physical and emotional healing.
I pray for the courage and the positive discipline to help me and my wife to lose weight. She has blocked arteries and the doctors say they cannot do bypass surgery due to full calcification of the blockages, so we are beginning a large change in our eating habits in order to lose weight and try to get off of medications and regain some health and vitality in our bodies. I am very overweight as well, as well as a two-time cancer survivor, so I need to make these changes as much as my wife does. Please pray for us that we can make these changes and that I can be a positive helper and role model for my wife as we learn to live a new lifestyle with hope and trust in the power of God to bring us back to health. She just turned 60 and I will be 65 in the Fall, so I pray for many more years of healthy and vibrant life together. Thank you and God bless you!
