Blind in the Trials - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: John 9:1-3

“As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. ‘Rabbi,’ his disciples asked him, ‘why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?’ ’It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,’ Jesus answered. ‘This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. "

Reflect and Respond:

In your trials today, God wants you to know that He sees you and He is with you: "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10. How can we pray for you today?

Prayer:

Father God, I pray that I would be a light to others even as You are a light to me. May I know your presence today and share your peace. Amen.

I thank God every day for his abundant blessings upon and around me. Pray that he will continue to lead me into his purpose for me and guide me to be his hands and feet here on earth. I know he is with me and pray that he will help me get through this performance assessment successfully.
Like that blind man, use me Lord to provide a little light to others by turning my hardships into something useful for Your sake, I pray. Amen.
What a beautiful response. As the Apostle Paul tells us, "count your trials as Blessings and take Joy in them". It is difficult sometimes, but so True. I Love your comment. Thank You
Praying for you to be guided by the Holy Spirit. I am a retired RN, so I am aware of your struggles with this topic, Ronnie.. Psalm 91:10 tells us that "no pestilence or plague will come near us", yet it also tells us to pay back Caesar's things to Caesar and also that the government rests upon the Lord shoulders and we should be law abiding citizens. Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May you find your Peace in the Lord
Phillipians 4:8. Please read this, Kerwin. Amen
God has Blessed you greatly! Praying for you, Brother.
Praying for you, Cheryl. It is a Spiritual Battle. Many of us are going through it, and it is hard. The battle is the Lord's. Cast your burdens upon Him. I encourage you to continue in Prayer and to read God's Word daily. He will sustain you and comfort you. May He Bless and Keep you All the days of your Life and may you receive His Peace, Rest, and Joy. Shalom
Amen
Praying for You
Eva, God did not do these things, yet He is working to Heal and Comfort you through His Holy Spirit to help you overcome your troubled heart. God works All things together for our Goodness. Romans 8:28 He weaves His web of Goodness, Grace, and Mercy into our very darkest times. We are often brought to the Lord through our own personal tragedies. I know that I was. Try not to dwell on "Why?" Isaiah 55:8,9 tells us that God's thoughts and Ways are above ours, so we are not always able to understand "why?" in this earthly life. We must cast our burdens upon the Lord, Trust in Him and accept His Grace and Mercy to Heal. He has known our steps since before we were knitted together in our Mothers wombs. Both Jeremiah, Isaiah and the Psalms tell us this. He knows every hair upon our head. Have Faith, Eva, and Know that All is within His control and according to His Divine and Sovereign plan. He does not make mistakes, He does not lie, He is constant, and His Love for us is incomparable. May He Bless you with His Peace and Joy. It is truly found only in Him. I am Praying for you Shalom
Thank you Madison for sharing your personal trials with us. What a source of Light and Strength in Jesus you are, young Lady. In my own personal trials right now, which are great, I take strength and courage from your Faith in our Heavenly Lord and Saviour. I am Praying for you and I gratefully accept your offer of Prayer for me and each of us. How very Beautiful and Lovely you are. May the Light of Jesus shine through each of us in whatever way our Lord sees fit. All according to His Divine and Sovereign plan. Thank you. Shalom, Sarah
Hey Cheryl. You sound like the persistent widow in the Bible. And that's what we are called to do: pray, pray, pray and pray. God is faithful. God is the God of miracles. And I've noticed that when it comes to people and relationships, it is incredibly challenging because relationships involve more than just one person. In other words, you may desire change, but they may not. You may see an issue, but they deny it. My encouragement for you is two-fold: pray and focus. Continue to pray for healing, restoration, and refinement in the relationship and in each person. Then focus on you. You cannot change anyone else, but you can lean into the sanctification process. This brings God glory and shines a light into the darkness. I am praying for you and your family.
Congrats on being sober! That is a huge accomplishment! Praise the Lord! I've found in counseling and coaching that there are two things that motivate people to change: positive gains or negative losses. Sometimes it's the positive alternative that drives a change, but more often, I've observed, it's the painful loss or "bottom" people can and do experience. Though painful, your loss drove you to a new life. Tragic and celebratory. Thanks for sharing.
It is hard to not get overwhelmed by the events of the world and life. I am constantly reminding myself to keep my eyes on Christ. He is our eternal hope!
Ronnie, we are living in troubling times, but it reminds me the return of Christ is imminent! So we need to live on purpose each day. I am praying for flexibility and understanding in your workplace. We are a country divided over so many topics. We've lost the art of understanding and dialogue! I pray for God-honoring responses and results.
You are showing wisdom in your understanding. I am praying for (and me) to stand firm! Amen!
I am truly sorry for your loss. I can't say that I understand, but I can say that I care. I've counseled many people on the loss of a spouse. It takes time, error, struggle, submission, and trust. Give yourself the freedom to struggle and wrestle. God's grace is sufficient for you. I'm praying that you continue to adapt and find a new rhythm and peace for the moment.
Eva, I will e-mail you to discuss such a sensitive and painful topic. Be on the lookout.
I am sorry for your loss! I am praying for God's peace and strength for you today!
Thank you Jesus for holding me up when I am weak.

I can relate to this lesson. My mom was always wanting me to quit drinking. Although I tried, I just didn't want to. It wasn't until she passed away that I went into rehab. I'm now 22 months sober. Her passing away saved my life.
I sometimes feel discouraged with all the negative things going on around me. I want to feel the joy of the Lord in my life
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement today. They are so important in our growth, walk, and understanding of God.
The shot is not mandatory ..yet.. and even if a true vaccine is approved and licensed, as with the FLU shot, religious exemptions are honored. I will pray 🙏🏻
I pray you do not take the vaccine, but believe God will find you another job. I know of three people that took vaccines, and one has died. Fight the loss of your job if necessary because legally, they cannot force you to inject something into your body for a job. It will take great courage and strength, but believe in God. He will never let you down.
Dear Lord, my job wanted me to take an vaccine. To keep my job, I am a believer in my lord savior Jesus Christ. I am not an believe in vaccine, lord God I will follow you and wait on you because I love you Jesus, cause I no you will make a way for me and my family’s. Flesh and spirit does mix, so I live for the spirit not the flesh. God continue to give faith and let the Holy Spirit guide me in the right direction. Continue to have mercy on me. In Jesus’s name, amen. 🙏❤️🙏
Thank you for your words of encouragement. God bless you.
I understand that bad things happen to me, maybe for different purpose of my God: *To sensitize me. * To teach me how to help others in a correct way through my own mistakes. * To encourage me, to challenge me to let the power of God flow through those apparent obstacles. How to pray for me? Please help me to stand firm in faith in my Lord Jesus.
Thank you, Lord, for all you have blessed me with and protecting me. Amen.
Thank you for being transparent and then offering hope through Jesus.
Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to hear. God bless
