Be Inspired - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series

Bible Verses: Hebrews 4:12

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

Reflect and Respond:

Spend a little time today thinking about Hebrews 4:12 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Is there an area in your life that you would like God to help you change? Is there something you need Him to teach you about and help you accomplish? Ask Him for those things in prayer.

Father, I know You love me. I know You've given me Your Word to help me. Please help me with this. Amen.

Thank God for His Word. Every day has something new for our life. His Word is alive, it teaches us, it exhort us, it challenge us, it teaches us.
But above all, it shows us, the great love of the Lord for us.

My thoughts are the hardest thing for me to control. I can be doing great and sometimes, right in the middle of prayer, I can end up in the weeds very quickly. I am currently praying to Mary for her intercession to help me with this problem. I know that many non-Catholics don't want to hear about Mary at all, but I believe she is the best way to approach Jesus. She can help us to approach Him like a good earthly mother helps us approach our earthly father when we have a problem that we need help with and don't feel we can go to him directly.
