Anger: Soft Target - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Ephesians 4:26-27

“And ‘don’t sin by letting anger control you.’ Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil."

Reflect and Respond:

What things are making you a "soft target" today? How might you become a "hard target"? I'd love to hear your comments!

Father, please help me be aware of any anger traps that I might fall into. Instead, let me be responsive to Your Holy Spirit so that anger cannot control me. Amen.

We look forward to your comments and questions below!

My Lord Jesus, don't let the devil get a foothold in my life; save me for Your sake; remove anger and bitterness from me, and let me no go to bed with anger in my heart.
Thank You, Amen
Thank you, encouraging reminder. Love conquers all. Amen.
I normally get angry when I feel helpless to fix a problem or to control a person. Lord God, help me to remember that it is you who is in Control and that I can trust you. Also that it is not against people that we war, but against the powers and principalities of darkness. I don't always have to be right. Each person is your precious Creation. Help me to show love and gentleness as you would. In Jesus'Name I Pray Amen 🙏🏼❣️
1) be angry and do not sin, 2) do not let the sun go down on your anger, 3) and do not give no oppertortunity to the devil.
Thank you that is very powerful encouragement
When I allow my emotions and thoughts to "roam free" when offended; I am giving the devil "a foothold" resulting in anger. This leads to remorse after. Lord, help me not to yield to temptation and sin by becoming angry. Empower me not to be "a soft target", but to stand firmly and securely on Your Word!
I do not get angry often....but if I do i really feel bad.
