Anger: Dumb Dogs? - Spiritual Growth Encouragement Series - Arnie Cole

Bible Verses: Ecclesiastes 7:9

“Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool."

Reflect and Respond:

Has your anger ever compromised your reputation? God's reputation? If anger labels you a fool, what label do you want to wear going forward?

Father, I want to honor Your name today. Please help me to wear Your labels of "wise," "peacemaker," "joy" for Your sake, and the sake of those around me. Amen.

Father, I pray you will heal my of my anger. In Jesus' name, Amen.
The word of the wise: Be not quick in your spirit to become angry. The fool always follow the lodges, the folly are angry.
I don't get angry often but sometimes , when I do, I overreact. I feel like such an idiot afterwards. I used to be so calm and patient. I have been really conscious of it the last few years but this made me realize that I really need to seek God's help with this.
Read Psalms 37:8 which goes right to the heart of this topic. As it says Psalms 37:8 Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm." Together these verses both tell us not to be angry and why.
My dear Lord thank you for all you do.
Thank you God for always being there for me in all circumstances!!
Thank you for sharing it is so true
Empowering! Thank you. Lord, please help me to sort my problems, and not resort to anger which labels me a fool. Thank You for Your Word which gives wisdom, guidance and enlightenment.
I used to have an extreme anger problem but once I surrendered my anger to the Lord He took care of it. I’ve learned the difference between righteous anger and non righteous anger for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God
