Bible Verse: Proverbs 30:7-9
"Two things I ask of you, LORD do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."

Reflect and Respond: What are the two things the author of this proverb asks for? How has the Lord provided for you in the past? What might "daily bread" look like for you today?

Prayer: Father, You are the giver of all good things. Today I thank You for providing everything I have needed in the past and I put my trust in You for my needs today. May my life bring honor to Your name. Amen.

I'm one of those who live from paycheck to paycheck. I'm retired and living on a fixed income. I retired 6 years before my husband did. I retired on July 1, 2013. I kept busy all the time.
When my husband retired, I think he had given up on life. He really didn't have any hobbies. He enjoyed driving, but he did not pass his driver evaluation. His sister became his POA on August 23, 2019. I didn't find it out until October 12, 2019 after he physically assaulted me. He is in a memory facility in Chicago area.
My son along with his wife and sons, my daughter, and I visit when we can. We are only allowed supervised visits.
I trust God to get me through the rough times.
