BIBLE: "You will say in that day: 'I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.'" (Isaiah 12:1 /ESV)

PRAYER: O Lord, how is it that you can forgive ALL my sins? Jesus, what kind of love is this that you would die for me and give me eternal life? I give thanks today for your mercy and your grace. I did not deserve such forgiveness let alone such love, but you showed me both. I praise you and I thank you! AMEN

REFLECT and RESPOND: Some feel that receiving forgiveness from God is easier than forgiving ourselves. Why do you think we might struggle with forgiving ourselves when we know that God has already forgiven us in Christ? Share in the comments.

We look forward to your comments and questions below!

Thank You Jesus for everything you have done for me and dying on the cross so we all can be forgiven. I know I cant earn it myself but because of your love for us, you died for us. Amen!!!!

I thank God for the many verses that assure us that God has forgiven us - 'there is now no condemnation'. Beautiful words! This is yet another area where I have to grow, that is, forgiving myself. Why is it so difficult to forgive ourselves? I think once again it stems from disbelief and pride: Does God Almighty really forgive ALL of my sins? AND How could this have happened to me? Both questions focus on self rather than on God, I think.
