Acts 8: 21-22 “You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. 22Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.” Peter knew about having a sinful heart when he denied Jesus three times. When this man named Simon wanted to by a gift from God Peter rebuked him and told him to repent. Knowing the motivation of our own heart is very important because we know God cares about our heart. It is easy to have sinful motivation and we need to repent and ask for forgiveness. We often think we know the heart of others but that is often difficult and we must be motivated by love for the person as we help them with their negative intentions. We need to pray to Jesus who knows all hearts to help us with our hearts and the hearts of our loved ones. For only God can change the heart and I pray he is changing it daily for his glory and our joy. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
