One of my favorite movies is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” It’s a story of the value of relationships and second chances. Well, there’s this scene where George Bailey is in a real bad spot. He doesn’t go where he should go to the people he can trust and rely on. Instead, he goes to old man Potter, who promptly shames George and proceeds to call the police.
Who do you call in your worst trials? Well, King David tells us who we should call.
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4).
Kind David experienced much undue hardship. He was God’s anointed and hunted continually by someone he cared for, King Saul. Yet, he didn’t take matters into his own hands. He turned to the one who could do something about it. God.
God saw all the pain and suffering David experienced. God cared and delivered him from his fear. God sees all the pain and suffering you’re experiencing. He cares, and he will deliver you from all your fear.
Whatever you are doing. Wherever you are at, stop and pray to God to deliver you from the fear you’re facing today. He will if you let Him.
