We Worship an Intimate God

June 25, 2020

Read Galatians 2:17-21

But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not!  For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor.  For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God.  I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

How does the truth of these verses redefine your life?

Imagine being one of the disciples speaking with Jesus after His resurrection. In your mind’s eye, envision sitting down with Him in the shade of a building or on a couple of rocks on a hillside, asking Him this question: “Why did You go to the Cross when You didn’t have to?”

Listen to His answer: “It is God’s glory to redeem you, to give you life with Me forever. I did it because I love my disciples: Peter needed it; so did James and John. And so do you. I did it for you.”

Here are a few things to think about:

  • As Christ-followers, we each play and important role serving the Lord. But as you strive to love others and share the message of Christ Jesus, make sure that you receive that message too.
  • As you minister, take some time to be ministered to.
  • If you haven’t yet done so today, get alone with God. Thank Him for what He is doing in your life, and then be still with Him. Allow Him to minister to you.

Lord, I want to do Your work. I want to serve in Your name and to work heartily, as for the Lord. Amen.

Amen ,Jesus you alone,my lord and my everything my redeemer .
Just for me, he did it just for me!
I pray to theLord to be a pleasing aroma.
Good morning! Wow. What a BIG question! A couple of things I suggest. First, pray. Praying is simply talking to God. He's real. He's personal. He loves you. So talk to God about everything! Second, read. Spend time in God's Word daily. It doesn't mean a chapter a day, but spend time reading a thought. Spend time in the goTandem app that will send you verses based on what you're needing today. Third, spend time in Christian community. God's active in the life of the believers around you, so here the testimony of God's goodness in their lives. Bit by bit you'll feel more connected and closer to our God, Father, and King!
Amen 🙏
Jesus you set the path for me ! You are my teacher , my lord and savior! Help me to emulate you to others as I witness to them ! Give me wisdom , humility boldness and guidance to do so ! In your glorious name I pray ✝️🙏🇺🇸
I am having great difficulty in being committed, how can you help me to develop my sense of commitment to God. Is there any tips or principles that would greatly assist me in going forward?
Father, thank You for Your great love for me by sending Jesus, You Son, to die on a cross for all my sins. Help me as I share/minister with others 'the good news of Salvation', never to forget the cost of this wonderful gift that I couldn't earn or deserve!
Thank you Heavenly Father for all you have given me. Please save this world from such destructive behavior. 🙏
Heavenly Father help me maintain my focus on you throughout my day amen
Can’t really start my day unless I have read your daily devotion. I have learned so much and I thank you for sharing your love for our Lord.
I love reading the scriptures every day.
Without living in Jesus it is impossible to please God. If we want to serve God and others we need to receive Jesus love for us each day. Thank you Lord for loving me. Amen
