Share the Word

December 10

Read Romans 10:13-14

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

How did you come to saving faith in Jesus? Who told you the Good News?

When it comes to the topic of evangelism, many of us immediately clam up. Sharing our faith with others makes us nervous. What if I don't have the right words? What if I say the wrong thing?

But friends, I would ask you to consider this. What if the person who told you the Good News of Jesus Christ never did? What if they let the nervousness of not having all the answers be an excuse?

If you are a believer in Jesus, it is because someone told you about Him. It may have been family, it may have been a friend, it may have been a stranger. But someone cared enough about your eternal soul to tell you the truth.

Just as someone loved us enough to share the Gospel, so we should love others enough to share it with them. The best way to start is with prayer. Pray for opportunities to share His Word with the people around you. Pray that the Holy Spirit would be working in the lives of the nonbelievers that you encounter. Pray that the Holy Spirit would guide you to give you the words and confidence to effectively share the Gospel.

Next, consider how you are living your life. Are you living your life in a way that glorifies Him? Your life is a testimony in and of itself. Spend time in the Word so that you grow in your faith and better reflect the love and life of Jesus.

Finally, use your words. People can be drawn in by your lifestyle and your friendship, but Paul reminds us that they can't hear the Good News without someone telling it to them! Don't feel like you have to have all of the answers and keep it simple. We are all sinners who deserve to die for our sins. But Jesus Christ died on the cross for us because He loved us so much! He was buried, but on the third day, He rose again and conquered sin and death. If we turn away from our sins and accept the work of Jesus on the cross, we can receive eternal life with Him and make Him the Lord of our lives. If they have questions that you are struggling to answer, invite them to church with you, share Biblical resources with them, and point them to trusted teachers who can help them find the answers to their questions. It's ok to say, "Let me find out and get back to you."

Remember the person who lovingly shared the message of Jesus with you? You, too, have been commanded to share the Gospel in love. But don't worry! He has already given you everything. You need to share the Word with others.

Father, thank You for placing people in my life who shared the Gospel with me. Give me the opportunity, the courage, and the words to share Your message of salvation with those around me. Amen.

Holy Spirit, give me words to speak so that I may share the Good News with someone. And as I read Your Word, help me to remember what I have read so I can speak Your words and not mine.
Lord help me take advantage of the opportunities to tell others about your grace. Help me find tbe right words. AMFN
Give me the opportunity, the courage, and the words to share Your message of salvation with those around me. Give me boldness. Let me count others more significant than my self. Let me listen and learn.

Amen! Santo! This is confirmation of what I have been doing. And yes, it is a must for us to share what so graciously been given to us. Thank you for the encouragement. May Abba God Almighty continue to guide you in advancing His Kingdom and all areas of your life. In Jesus name Amen!
It truly frightens me to try to share the gospel with others. I pray about it all the time. Thank you for the reminder that living a Godly life is testimony in itself.
Thank you for your honesty! I feel the same way too! Sometimes I pray Romans 1:16-17 so that I will not be ashamed of the gospel. I pray that I will remember that salvation is made possible by God alone. As I said in my daily Bible teaching, "try something and let God do the rest!"
Father, this is the very thing that I fear the most, telling the lost about your word. Father, You know me better than I know myself. You chose me for this very reason, Father, help and teach me what I need to know, so that I can teach others about Your gospel In Jesus Amen
We need to remember we can go and witness by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. HE is the one who helps us in our weakness.
Lord, I do get nervous when it comes to spreading Your Word. I do not want to be a false teacher. I do want others to know Your Gospel. Help me to do as You would have me to do, Lord. In Your Son Jesus name I pray, Amen.
As much as I love the Lord and what he has done in my life, I want to share with others. But I'm the one who thinks that I don't know enough or I'm not educated enough with the vocabulary to share the good news. What if I say something wrong or what if they don't understand me. I care about lost souls. I to was lost and I want to tell the lost how they can be found just like myself. So please pray for me to gain the courage and wisdom to do what God wants me to in sharing Him with others. Thank you, Kim.
Yes we must be willing and able to share the gospel of Jesus with others. Lord give us the willing desire and the Holy Spirit ability to share your love to those you bring into our life. Jesus allow us to glorify you in our words, actions and desires. Thank you for dying for my sins and cleansing me from all my unrighteousness. May your name be glorified. Amen
It's not easy share your faith at times. However, I still like carriage evangelism. This is where you strike up a conversation with a travelling partner you may on the bus, taxi, train or airplane.
Father, by Your grace, please sustain in me Your Spirit that I might share the gospel of Your Son, so that You might bring other souls closer to You. For I am not worthy, but for the blood of the Lamb,. Amen!
Thank you Pastor Nat. This is so encouraging to me. I consider myself a natural, my sharing is effortless.,always looking for an opportunity to share the gospel. Help me God to continue. Glory and honor be unto God, when we go after the one.
Dear Abba l Thank you for your grace and mercy. We are at the end of the age of grace' you came as a Lamb, but when you come back for the second time, you will come as the Lion of Judah. The signs are in the consultation, people look up our redemption is near! Dec.14 - 17 2020 is perfect vision. Praise Yedhua!
Thanks Pastor Nat for this very, very important reminder/encouragement today. As a Christian, I am commanded by God to "go and make disciples". Lord Jesus, thank You for the price You paid on the cross to redeem me from my sins. Thank You for the "free" gift of salvation. I want to walk in obedience to Your instructions to spread the "Good News" and "make disciples" for the Kingdom. Holy Spirit, please empower and guide me in Your strength, and speak through me to effectively share the Gospel with others, as You prepare their hearts receive it. Lord, thank You for Your amazing grace and mercy. Amen!
