Redeeming a Broken Life - Your Daily Forward Devotional

Redeeming a Broken Life Date: 2/6/20 Read Psalm 34:15-18 "The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Reflect During times of trouble, do you draw close to the Lord ... or do you run? God graciously brought my friend Bob far beyond medical expectations. (He was a missionary who ended up being bound to a wheelchair.) Eventually Bob learned to feed himself and to drive his own electric wheelchair as well as a customized van. He dedicated countless hours of technical advice to missions organizations and became a self-made "computer guru," offering his expertise to many who couldn't afford to take their computers to be repaired. He is now battling acute leukemia. "Yet even with the trials, looking back I wouldn't want to return to just sailing along and being a good Christian but not really knowing God," says his wife--twenty years down the road. Over and over the struggles she and her husband have experienced have become a doorway to gain a fresh vision of Jesus, to see that He is her strength when she's weak, her provider when the family has need, her rest when she's weary. She knows her Lord in an intimate way because of the trials and difficulties. And she knows that He who sees her loves her with an everlasting love. Pray Lord, thank You for delivering me out of troubles. Thank You for lifting me up when I feel crushed. Amen. We look forward to your comments and questions in these devotionals! I'm praying for you Mark that it will all work out :)
I understand the need to slow down and get rest when you go home. I was crazy active, then got I'll and finally God just stopped me in my tracks and MADE me rest. I will pray God puts on your husband's heart to take care of yourselves. You can't give when your cupboards are empty. God, please open the windows of heaven and pour out healing and rest.
I am so sorry. I will pray for you and add you to our prayer chain. And I will pray for your broken heart.
I too have learned trusting in Him because he knows the whole picture the beginning from the end. For me I pinched to root nerves in my neck and three nerves off of my sciatica well taking care of my mother law for 5 years, the last 14 months my wife moved in as well and I took care of her for 4 months till she died I know my mother-in-law died in the end as well. The pinched nerves so paralyzed me to the point where I could do nothing but it made me draw closer to God. Seeing his hand in this whole experience from then 19 months ago or less being totally paralyzed the only having my right arm paralyzed partially now and him bringing a new woman into my life who loves me for who I am makes me to know that not only does he see and know me but he has the best interest that I could have for my heart and for my life and I cannot cease to be grateful and thank him for all he has done and all he is doing and all he is going to do
I will pray for you, my brother.
Thank you for your hard word and all your sacrifices as you are trying to make this world a better place by shining the Light of Lord Jesus onto people and areas that need it most. We are praying for wisdom for your husband, and for your patience as the times might be coming for this mission to slow down so that both of you can take a well deserved break. May Lord help you enter this transition, and guide you through the changes and be your source of strength no matter what. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
Mark, this must be so very hard! Our team is praying for you as well! We are asking our Lord to walk with you in this difficult situation, touch the hearts of all the parties involved in this so that this situation may be turned, changed or otherwise improved to glorify the Lord and the institution of the family per His design. We pray that Lord Father is working out a miracle, and we pray that He will grant you strength and patience while He is at work. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen!

Trusting in the Lord is a daily goal for my heart desires to be selfish. Thank you Jesus for the Holy Spirit. With God all things, even trusting in him is possible. Amen
I am struggling with my faith very much. I went for Grandfather Visitation Rights case for my only grandchild Brooklyn Sky. I lost my case. My faith wasn't broken because of my loss but how I lost. Very long story short, I'm in need of tremendous amount of prayers.
I have been feeling crushed! We are missionaries in our 60’s and 70’s. We have been in a whirlwind never stopping for years. When we come home it is still non stop. We both need rest but my husband won’t. We are not in good health. I trust in Jesus with everything but I am at the end.
