He Will Restore You - Your Daily Forward Devotional

He Will Restore You Published 2/11/20 Read John 16:33 "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Reflect How does it make you feel knowing that Jesus has overcome the trials of this world? No matter how difficult the trial you may go through, you can expect that the Lord will ever guide you with His eye; will support you by His guardian hand; and will keep you from all evil. "The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast" (1 Peter 5:10 NIV). Seek the face of God in the midst of trouble. When was the last time you looked for Jesus in the midst of a pressing problem? Often we say, "Lord, fix this. Change this problem. Do something about this mess I'm in!" That's okay, yet there's a real difference in praying the life-transforming prayer, "Lord, I don't understand this situation and I seem powerless to change it. But I want to see You and encounter You. Would You teach me what You want me to know about You? Would you draw me near and show me what special life lessons and revelations of Your grace You want me to experience?" As I think about the challenges or struggles where I've grown the most, the turning point was most often when my focus moved from the problem or troubling situation to asking, seeking, and being open to something the Lord wanted to reveal to me about Himself. Translation: having a fresh vision of Jesus that focuses on His character and His sufficiency--who He is instead of how I wanted things to change--made all the difference. Pray Lord Jesus, help me to trust that You will restore me. Amen. We look forward to your comments and questions in these devotionals! My FATHER in Heaven. You know of the situation I am praying about. Why would you damage so much of my faith in YOU? I would give my life for you without hesitation. I can find no good in your decision. No lesson I can learn from this situation. I felt you leave me the day before the hearing. And no where with me the day of the hearing. I cannot fathom what I have done to displease you my King. I have cried out to YOU! I have searched for YOU and I cannot find YOU. Have mercy on me my CREATOR. Do not take THY SPIRIT from me.
Thank you Lord for your assurance that you will restore me, because in thee i trust.
I pray that I will humble myself before the Lord and repent ,surrender to Him. That He will show me His will and purpose and plan for my marriage and life for his glory
Its difficult to see God in the midst of trouble. My focus so often is on the trouble and not on Christ. Like Peter who walked on the troubled sea, he took his eyes off Jesus and then he began to sink. I want to learn more how to keep my eyes on Jesus. I find that it is through those difficult times that we have the greatest victories. We will have trouble in this world, but thanks be to God Jesus has overcome the world.
This was right on time for me, thank you and PRAISE GOD!
Struggling with sadness or happiness or anything that takes your focus from Jesus is troubling. The true source of joy is knowing him better each day. I pray to see him more each day. Amen
Thank you and God for reminding me during this sad and troubling time to continue to trust Him. To know that He is right there waiting for me to give it all to Him.
Wow.....just wow. God is so faithful. That was exactly what I needed to hear this morning.
Very poignant definitely right on target with the way we look at things and the way we are supposed to look at things. Thank you for your Insight. It helped through our trials. May God's grace continue. To envelop and develop all of us.
